seeing the bright white light

I just wrote a blog on my xanga (www.xanga.com/la_mar) which I normally copy straight to here, but some of it had to do w/ a cool photo I could put up so I talked about that & rappelling (which I was doing in the pic) for a bit, if anyone's interested in that, and then I said this...

I'm just so thankful for the ways God reminds us Who He is and what His purpose is. He has a tendency of throwing people into our lives to love and be loved by, whether an immigrant sitting on the bus next to us or an old friend. And when we wake up and all that seems to matter is the midterm exam we have that day, by the time we fall asleep it seems so far in the past and not worth all the stress we poured into it (studying, yes; stress, no)!

Ahhh, the song "You're all I want/You're all I've ever needed..." is playing on my Exodus CD right now, and it's such an excellent call to simply seek the Lord. He showed me last week (at Church as a goth, as a matter of fact) that when we seek Him - not what He can do for us, but just HIM - then it is like looking at a brilliant light, which when we look away we see everywhere else too. I pray our eyes won't adjust again to the dimmness of this world, but that we'll forever see Him.
